Why Bare exists.

Most face washes are built to do more — foam more, smell better, promise more. Bare is built to do less. Six ingredients, chosen because each one earns its place, and nothing added just because a mass-market formula expects it.

We started Bare because so many cleansers marketed to acne-prone skin lean on the same idea: strip everything, foam hard, and hope it feels like working. It doesn't. Stripped, dried-out skin tends to overcompensate — and a damaged barrier is more vulnerable, not less. Bare is our answer to that: a cleanser that gets skin genuinely clean without doing that damage, so whatever treatment comes next in your routine can actually do its job.

We're not a treatment. We're the step before it — the part of the routine that's supposed to be simple.

Every ingredient in Bare is on this site, in plain language, because "trans-BARE-ncy" isn't just wordplay to us. If we can't explain why something is in the bottle, it isn't.
